Before it could bloom...
The very first time I saw you, I knew we had some connection, The sparkle in your eyes kept me drawing towards you, Definitely, it was never meant to be just an infatuation. We kept bumping into each other, Maybe that was the will of the time, Or some conspiracy of the stars, But, I am glad we crossed paths. We just kept mum, afraid of the consequences, Love was deep but not strong enough to break the wall of silence we shared, We never let the feelings take over, As we thought we were never meant to be that way. Now, as I sit with this romantic novel in my hands, I just think how foolish I had been, Could not admit my feelings for you, I just realised,out of fear,I had nipped that love in the bud before it could bloom. -Surabhi S H
